action committee that's supportive of the president's plans and his legislation. he wants to basically apologize on monday in a conference call saying hop on the phone with me. that was the email sent out basically going to apologize for the fumbled rollout of obamacare. >> will it be enough to rally the troops behind him? and he needs that because yesterday he lost 39 democrats in the house of representatives who voted for a bill sponsored by congressman fred upton of michigan that would allow americans the freedom the promised them falsely which is to keep the healthcare plans they are satisfied with. 39 democrats broke with the president to support that by the way they had no choice. the numbers on this are compelling. >> part of that is because over 5 million americans and their families could be more than that severed ties with their doctors. congress men and women are thinking wait a minute i am up for re-election and what

happens if my constituents are part of this group and it's not fair? they wanted to be able to go on record, i would imagine. we did hear some harsh words from both sides of the aisle mention that it was not split downtown aisle though. 239 democrats siding with republicans. let's listen to phil. he said it's a disgrace americans were lied to for part of this bill it? >> is disgraceful, greta, yes, we can take it all the way to the white house and then they finally say, well, executive privilege. and obama done that to us a number of times. we know they lied to us, lied to the american people. this bill that we passed today, of course, the president comes out the day before, tries to reelement that with some fiat or executive order, whatever. this is all about the american people and them having no insurance and a gap and then if something horrendous happens to him then that is a plane crash. >> at the heart of this is the question is whether government can do a large

program like this and provide health care for everyone. >> have you ever been to a dmv? how long is that line. >> my wife was on the phone with the irs 102 minutes waiting for an answer. these are the people running your healthcare program by the way. making the point this could be the first step towards the collapse of this new form of liberalism listen. >> unless it is somehow rescued and they make it work. this will be a story of an epic collapse of the central element of a new kind of liberalism. and this ideology will go down with the policy. that's why liberals are so afraid of this thing collapsing and they are in horror at the train wreck that they are now witnessing. >> boy. of course, i for one hope that that's true. we should be totally clear though that this bill which passed the house has to get to the democratically controlled is that senate. that may not happen. the president has promised

to veto it against these plans because they don't offer enough coverage. the truth suspect simpler than that. they need you and you and me and a lot of you out there to pay more than you need to pay in order to subsidize people who aren't paying anything right now. right? this is a wealth transfer. that's exactly the heart of this plan. >> go ahead. >> they need the healthy young americans to sign up otherwise, there is going to be this death spiral that we have been hearing about. >> the white house saying look, these plans are bad. they are saying these plans have what's known as rescission inside of them, which is, that, look, once you start piling up those medical bills, these are scam insurance policies that we are going to drop you from your insurance coverage because you got sick and you don't want these plans anyway. >> so supreme who can't build a web site are going to it assess what a good healthcare plan is? no the plans from the white house side because they are not expensive enough. the extra money you pay for coverage you don't need goes to people who don't have

coverage. this again is a form of welfare and he they are not being honest about it. >> you have got it feel from these insurance companies because they have had three years of plan for this and six weeks of this rollout of the web site and now a month to fix things and shouldering the blame for this from the president. >> believe shed ago tear for the insurance companies? it's a strange day, i will tell that you. >> let's talk about benghazi this morning because new revelation this morning in that terror attack. cia contractors testifying this week behind closed doors in front of that house hearing. and we're getting new reports out this morning from our own catherine herridge who has been doing some excellent reporting on this. these five cia contractors and members of the cia who are actually inside that room were asked to sign second nondisclosure agreements. second ndas. normally contractors will often sign nondisclosure agreements. after the attack why were they then asked to sign second ndas? >> why? the results were politically

damaging to the white house. look, the public has a right to know what happened here? why were this many cia officers in benghazi in the first place? we still don't have an answer to that question. in are asking, as far as i'm concerned and moreover what about the aftermath? why aren't people going after the perpetrators and we don't know the answer to that question. they are silencing the people who know the answers and silencing the others. it's an outrage. >> was there a lull in the fighting was there not a lull in the fighting? was there a thought from state side that potentially the fighting was even over. we heard from senator stephens last night warning about the intelligence committee. take a listen. >> it's wrong because if the state department denied send why. can i ask you very quickly is, it a fact that ambassador stevens spoke to your committee prior to his murder? >> ambassador stevens did spend some time with our committee prior to his

passing. >> that's significant. you don't normally have ambassadors to libya speaking to the house intel committee. and that lays the foundation so the viewers understand for yet another question we should be asking about why he wasn't better protected and why he was even at that consulate on the 9/11 anniversary. >> that was mike rogers there talking about ambassador chris stevens who, of course, passed away, one of the four innocent americans there. >> yes. >> pretty amazing. pretty amazing for this reason. this story has not gone away. and i have to say not to pat certain news organizations in the back. while the reps of the news organizations were ignoring this fox was keeping it alive. it's not a political story it's about four americans who died trying to help their country and a white house that has refused to answer exactly what happened. the truth will emerge ultimately. it always does. >> excellent reporting by our own reporter getting

hammer out a contentious security deal to keep troops in afghanistan after the 2014 withdrawal. president harr mead karzai says the deal will not go through unless a group of afghan leaders sign off on it first. officials say the situation is still an ongoing diplomatic process. well, the fbi is heeding a warning to government workers. beware of hackers. this comes after the bureau reported the group anonymous has cracked into computers at several agencies. and stolen the personal information of thousands of employees. the break-ins began last december after hackers found a flaw in software used to build government web sites. well, it's the headline warming the hearts of america. bat kid saves san francisco. this is great. bat kid or miles as 5-year-old cancer survivor. his dream was to be bat kid for a day and to make it happen the make-a-wish

warmer than you were for a lot of this last week with. great news warmer air out there, at least tempe rarely parts of the east. little bit of rain, parts of florida will continue to see rain for much of the day. see some rain exiting part of the mid-atlantic and in towards the northeast over the next couple of hours and dry up mostly for the remainder of the day. out across the west is where all the action is a big powerful storm moving. in a lot of snow, we are going to be talking about areas seeing maybe two feet of snow in the higher elevations and rain in the lower elevations. snow begins to pull out in the central part of the country. temperaturewise eventually it will cool down but take a look at warm up today and tonight parts of the central plains. chicago overnight getting to 64. all going to come at a price. severe weather today across the plains and tomorrow there is bigger severe weather, in fact, possibly a big severe weather outbreak. tornadoes for your sunday, possibly. >> wow. thanks, rick. >> you bet. >> a new study reveals big labor and liberal groups are paying top dollar to

bank rolling of elections going snow shower here to break it down is justin wilson from the center of union facts. justin, good morning, thanks for joining us? >> good morning, my pleasure. >> for the past several years, the line from the white house has been the supreme court decision on campaign finance allows big biopsy to buy elections. i think most people think that the majority of money spent by outside groups comes from big business. that's not the case though. >> you know. it's such an easy narrative to tell that story and we hear it time and time again. what people haven't been reporting is that labor unions, being faced with near extension are resurgent and they are almost spending themselves out of existence if only so they can actually have some gain in terms of their long-term existence. what we have seen is that they have invested more heavily in state and local elections because they ultimately have an outside influence. whether it's a city council race or state legislature. we have seen labor unions invest heavily heavily in

the last two years. >> this is all an outgrowth of the citizens united decision handed down by the supreme court that allowed this. i think the average person on the left. the average liberal is appalled by the supreme court decision and may not know that in fact it has helped the democratic party, correct? >> you know, exactly. unions are corporations in the same way that corporations are corporations. and as such, they are allowed to spend money out of their general treasury. what separates a labor union from a general corporation is they can get money from individual members' paychecks. every time a person gets a paycheck the union takes a small amount of that money and spends it on politics. the difficulty is we had this really frustrating disconnect between union members who are about 40% to 50% voting republican and labor unions who give almost 100% of political contributions to democrats. without any permission from the individuals, the unions take money from employees and spend it against their own political wills. the advantage or excuse meet one good thing this is that we have seen a bill introduced in congress just

on thursday called the employer rights act that would actually seek to remedy this and force unions to get opt in permission from their individual members to spend money on politicians and state and local elections and federal elections before they could actually take the money out of their paychecks. >> what's so surprising in some cases, and i have experienced this personally in my own life, you are required, in effect, to join a union in order to have a certain job. you have no choice. you have to join the union and then your money is taken without your concept and spent on political campaigns you might not agree with that's pretty surprising. >> that's exactly what's going on in a lot of the right-to-work states in this country. what we have seen in this research. programs they make it next to impossible to opt out, which is the current requirement for political programs. well, they will say oh, next february, there is a two week period and you need to send a notarized letter to the union's junior council, we won't tell you what his

address is, sign it and get it double standard and then you cannot participate in the union's political program. time and time again people find that impossible to not do. that's why the employers right exact an important piece of legislation. flip the tables on this. require you to get preapproval from union members. what we are going to see from a political perspective is that unions, if this bill is passed, would see themselves groping for a lot of the money that they are secretly injecting into our political system. >> interesting. next time somebody tells you citizens united empowered the coke brothers. you can say actually it was the unions who benefited from it thanks. >> thank you. >> new niewmg bombshell, $10,000 award for leads about the attack since the beginning of this year. why didn't we know this until now? you have heard this before. fighting a cold for a big glass of oj for vitamin c. does that really help? dr. segal here to separate cold facts from fiction.

>> you bring your flamingos in for the night. >> of course you do. >> like covering your flowers during a frost. >> exactly they can run away and become ferrell flamingos. >> we wouldn't want that at all. >> i think we will be dealing with severe weather this weekend. generally in the spring. secondary season of severe weather and that's in the fall. that's kind of what we are going to see today and tomorrow. although tomorrow worse. today we will see this across parts of iowa, illinois, little bit of wisconsin and missouri. and i think mostly just some wind. maybe a little bit of hail as the storms move on. but tomorrow we are going to see this develop into i think a much more dangerous situation and moderate risk for severe weather storm prediction center. that's elevated risk and potentially we could be be seeing some attorneys. where you see that red is the bulls eye places like detroit, scenario half of michigan, down towards northern parts of kentucky. definitely illinois and ohio and threat for very strong

hallucinogenic mushrooms. what i didn't know he was actually already addicted to drugs. >> well, i'm reading here that 80% of kids they experiment with substances before they graduate before, a lot of parents at home are thinking what do i do? clearly head of the school, ed cared trying to be a good father. doubt notice it first how do they notice? right i didn't notice at first. i asked myself some times how could i be a educator and see so many kids struggle and not notice. adolescents who use drugs are quite adept at hiding it. they have a lot to hide. parents should look changes in behavior, changes in friendships. declining grades in school. lack of interest and what had interested their children before. there are signs. >> this is just a nightmare of every parent, that you lose control of a child who

heads off on a self-destructive course and there is nothing can you do. what do you? how much control can you have over your child's behavior at that point? adolescents begin to pull away from their parents and pierce are more important to them. having open conversations making sure actually have dinner with your children each evening is very important. focusing on their efforts and interests in school as opposed to the outcomes in school. also makes a difference. being engaged. >> well, let's get back to the kind of funny position that you you are in because you are the head of the school, too. and you did repair your relationship with your son. you joined allah none, dedicated to that. got accused of trying to overturn the zero teller rans policy and do you agree with those policies? >> i don't agree with zero tolerance policies. in fact the school i inherited did not have one. it was a myth in the school.

>> who should we share our user names and pass words with, anybody? >> the answer is nobody. that would be a jeopardy question. what is no one. never share your information. now, remember what edward snowden did he social engineered about 20 people reported out of their user name and pass wards saying i'm the system administrator to download documents. that's the real derek. never give your user name and pass ward to anybody. if they are really the system administrator they have different types of access. never give it to anybody. >> we need to be aware of our surroundings. don't log no your bank account with somebody peering over your shoulder, what else. >> sitting in starbucks and think i want to transfer some money. you don't know who is around. you don't know what they are watching and what somebody can see can't see like talking about. the key strokes on user name. happened over and over again. public wi-fi are popular places for people to steal your personal information. >> i know here at fox he we are very -- we pay a lot of attention to change our

fault. here is the thing the president is doing. he is he scrambling. i have never seen a president scramble so much. this ridiculous notion that he tells the nash companies go ahead and let them keep their policy shows how inept he is and how little he understands how insurance regulations work. it takes months to change an insurance regulation. you have administrative hearings. you have all this process. and for him to say just go ahead and offer those policies, it would be like the president of the united states saying to mcdonald's, we order you to put the mcrib on the menu. >> trying to make them the bad guy and not him? >> what i don't understand is it's not the president's job constitutionally. is he a constitutional law major supposedly. he signs the law. legislative branch decides of it. how can he he say parts of the law are are not working i will change them. >> not only unconstitutional, tucker. think about this. what has been the reason the democrats have held up any possible changes to obamacare some that i bet they wish they had gone ahead and accepted it.

they use this phrase it's the law of the land. he goes in there and unilaterally decides which pieces of the law that he will either accept, change, enforce, or completely ignore. >> i didn't hear him say this at the podium but this undermines his entire argument that these are scam policies or bad policies. that they were all -- scam policies that people once they got sick with then be dropped from their insurance plans. these are better plans. and now i didn't hear him say that on the podium. >> of course he can't. this is like saying we have taken some really bad medicine off the shelf because it's going to hurt you. three days later come back and say you know we want you to go ahead and have access. what if it makes you sick? we don't care. it's our political rear that matters. not yours. >> go ahead and eat it. >> do we like when a president takes responsibility and says he is sorry? is this going to help him? does this wipe the slap clean for him? >> i think what he is sorry for is he a sorry that his plan is not working.

amateurs. and he is not the kind of guy to take criticism. his egos writing checks that he can't deliver on. so his only recourse is to get rid of these guys and look what happened to stanley mckristol, right? >> we had a laundry list of folks up on the screen here we were showing. >> right. >> these guys being fired, forced out. how much of a role does the play in purging these guys and gals? >> well, you know, you are not going to find -- you are probably not going to find any memos or anything written down on it all it takes from him is a word or two in the right area. and these guys are gone. and the biggest thing -- the biggest gap that that leaves in the military then is people who now step in to fill these shoes, who may be doing so, you know, for political reasons, not necessarily because they are the best qualified. so now you don't have anybody left who is going to stand up to this clown act in the white house. look at the wave of sexual harassment prosecutions and convictions in the military. you know, this waive of political correctness.

you know, there has been a couple of high profile cases lately that's cost us the services of two in the air force's case two very qualified and talented general officers, including an astronaut. because they overturned these sexual harassment convictions and that ran afoul of the political hierarchy in the white house and in congress. >> it's unbelievable. i read the other day the administration announced the diversity is essential in our military. why should i care what color my army is? what does it have to do with anything? don't i want a competent and ferocious army? like what is that? >> absolutely. it has nothing to do with it. you know, i spent over 20 years in the military. i could care less how the person next to me is dressed, what color they are, how they pray. i don't even care who they sleep with. what i care about is how they fight and are they going to get me killed or are they going to be able to do their job? >> is this affecting our national defense, colonel before we let you go. >> absolutely. look at claire mccaskill

the great defection from the veto of the white house. 39 democrats in the house voted to approve a plan that would go further than president obama's short-term fix for obama care and let people keep the plans they are already happy with. let's get remarks from wisconsin congressman sean duffy. thanks for coming on. >> good morning, tucker. >> how have these obama care regulations affected your constituents? >> everywhere i'm seeing my constituents losing health care

they like at a price they can't afford. there are stories taking place. i have one constituent who is in line for a kidney transplant. she has insurance and it covers the transplant when she'll need it. she's got a cancellation notice. she is going to the exchange and there is only one option for her in rural wisconsin for health care coverage that will work for her in the exchange. it doesn't cover the transplant. she is losing her doctor, losing her coverage, and she is absolutely terrified. this is life and death for a lot of people. if we don't get this fixed, it's catastrophic. i have other kids, i have max a college student whose insurance is going up by $150. he can't afford it. he's going without. warren in wisconsin has a doctor in his community that is covered in his current health care plan and insurance. he is losing it and he has to travel 70 miles away to his new

doctor. we are hearing these stories in congress nonstop. >> the irony is obama care was designed punitively for people like the ones you just mentioned, yet it's hurting them. why didn't the administration foresee this coming? >> i think we both know that the administration did see it coming. that's why the misrepresentation if you have your health care and you like it, you can keep it, period, is such a lie. in wisconsin, tucker, almost 95% of our citizens are covered with insurance. we could have worked to find that other 5%, 6% get them coverage instead of wiping the slate clean and taking a lot of people who have insurance, taking them off. the president said he was all about redistributing wealth. he's taking health insurance from middle class, hard-working families and giving it to people who don't have insurance. this is real why i painful stuff. oftentimes with this economy,

this individual. >> i want to let us airways have a say in this is. "we're particularly sensitive to those customers who travel with service animals and we partner with assistance dogs international. in this case mr. rizzi became disruptive and refused to comply when a flight attendant asked him to secure a service dog at his feet." they say it is still under investigation. you say this isn't really what happened at all. the dog was doing what? >> mr. rizzi was sitting in the last row on the airplane. it was a little turbo prop. there was no seat in front of him. they asked him to stow the dog, put the dog away. he said, all right, what do i need to do. they said the dog has to be under the seat. the passenger sitting directly on the left of him offered, you can put the dog under my seat.

so they put the dog which was a labrador, not a little dog, under the seat. the person in the seat next to him sat indian style so the dog would have plenty of room. we sat on the tarmac for a good hour, 1 1/2 hours. >> you just start getting restless. did the dog become unruly then? >> all the dog did was stick his head out so he could touch his owner's leg. from what i understand these dogs are trained to be in constant contact with their handlers. the dog was doing that. the flightk a couple of times and said to him, the dog has to be stowed under the seat. mr. rizzi was like, okay, i'm doing what i can. i don't know exactly what you want me to do, but i'll do what i can and all that. finally we get to the point where we're taxiing for

take-off. the pilot starts up the port engine because they taxi on one engine. we are in the lineup. feels like we are going to take off. he gets on the p.a. and says we have to return to the gate for another issue we have to resolve before we can fly. we thought it was all mechanical issue. we get to the gate and then security comes on to the plane and says to mr. rizzi, i need to you deplane right now. get off the plane. grab your dog and your bag and come off the plane right now. they start walking him to the front of the plane. we are all thinking they are doing an extra service for him, that we were all going to have to get off the plane because of a mechanical problem. they take him to the front of the plane. he says to the security individual, am i the only one getting off the plane? i don't hear anyone else getting

that's closer. >> could be accurate. >> or totally move the goal post and change the rules. >> welcome back to "fox and friends." 33 minutes past the hour. we are getting inside information from katherine about the five cia personnel asked to sign second nondisclosure agreements after the benghazi attack. some of this from the closed-door testimony before the house intelligence committee this week. we don't know exactly what unfolded during this testimony. we do know they were asked to sign a second nondisclosure agreement. why? why was the first nondisclosure agreement not enough? >> that is a great question. we learned from mike rogers that ambassador stevens who was killed at the scene, of course, warned the white house about his security concerns, apparently those concerns were unheaded or not taken seriously enough. >> we spoke to devon nunez who

said there was no lull. that was the argument, there was no lull in the action. he says he doesn't understand that at all. there was no lull. listen. >> to me there was never a lull. for one, we have video so we have the drone feed, we had the surveillance video. provide the committee the video and we can get to the bottom of whether or not there were bad guys out there. the reason they want, the administration wants this narrative of a lull they want an excuse why they didn't send in help. that's why they want the whole issue with the lull. if there was a lull what were these guys doing on the roof top at 5:00 in the morning? >> the crux of this whole thing is that they are trying to find out who either at the cia or the administration thought it was necessary for these cia guys to actually not come forward and to talk about this. they are trying to figure out who gave this order? >> what were they doing there in

the first place? i asked congressman nunez this question. that is the mice try at the course of all this. there were over two dozen cia personnel on the scene in benghazi. that may be what the white house is trying to protect with this secrecy. >> we are happy law makers are able to meet these survivors the first time. they hadn't been able to do so in the past and try to work to get some answers. why were the nondisclosure agreements, why did they have to be signed? the other thing we heard from nunez saying that there was no lull. mike rogers said there was on megan kelly's show last night. they are going to continue to scour over these transcripts and hopefully get more answers. it's strange they say two different things about was there a lull in fighting or was there not. >> video camera was rolling during the length of this attack which went over some number of hours. the intelligence community which

is supposed to provide oversight will not release these tapes. on what grounds will they not release these tapes? i asked congressman nunez, he didn't know. we're just not giving them to you. can do you that? they have done it. >> more answers we still need on this story. first our headlines this morning. >> we'll get right to those. today is the last day of the search for the man who fell or jumped from a small private airplane as it flew off the coast of miami. the search began after the pilot made a may day call saying a man opened the door of the plane and fell out. police identified the missing man as 42-year-old gerardo nale from key biscayne. there is no evidence of foul play. if you're overweight or a smoker, you could pay more for health insurance next year. 40% of major u.s. companies are going to put health goals on like putting smoking or losing weight. if you don't meet them, you'll pay more. 5,000 companies already have

turn down your thermostat one degree, it's going to save you almost 3% on your bills. let me do the math. if if you take your thermostat down ten degrees and take it down over 16 hours during the day while at work or sleeping, you're saving almost 30% on your bill. if you have a $50 bill, you're saving $15 a month on that bill. >> what is great is, i'm a tech guy here. the nest thermostat our bill went down $300 because it's doing it itself. it's smart. it knows when you're home and knows when to shut it down. >> exactly. >> your next tip. only heat the rooms you use. when you're blasting that heat it's going into the closets, that bathroom you're not in. >> exactly. if you have more space, that bill is going to go up. if your family is like my family, we stay in the living room and kitchen most of the time in the house. my suggestion is heat the kitchen and living room or rooms you spend the most times in and

block off the vents for the rooms you don't spend time in, foyer, guest bedrooms, the garage. that will shave money off that bill. >> here is something people don't do. clean and unblock their furnace. i remember talking to somebody once that said i didn't know you could do that. >> i didn't either until i started working on this piece. if you unblock that furnace, all that gunk is making your heating system function inefficiently. you can save almost $100 off your bill. >> put a new air filter in there, as well. l.e.d. lights. this is something i did in my house. it's fascinating how much money you can save by putting in l.e.d. lights instead of those fluorescent bulbs. >> those l.e.d. lights have longer shelf life and they use le less kilowatts per hour.

you can save $540 per month. >> put them in the rooms you're most in all the time. invest in insulation. how can we invest more in insulation. >> if you're a diy person, you tend to lose a lot of heat in the houses through the roof. through the attic or ceilings. if you're diy, install insulation in there to keep the heat within the house. i'm not diy but hiring professional will probably cost you around $1,500 to $2,000. the savings is between 500 and $700 off your heating bill. >> hire someone to do that spray foam which is more expensive but could last you. >> and save you a lot of money. >> hitha, great to see you. >> thanks for having me. coming up, how would you like to own one of these beauties? they are custom orange county choppers.

>> what is the premise of the show? >> it's really building bikes, you know, having a good time. it's mainly what we did before but we're having a better time this time and it's more pg. so everybody can watch. >> so tell us about the bike itself. what does it displace, how quick is it? >> first of all, i think the thing that separates us, this is a bike that we built maybe 12 years ago and you know it's a lot more improved so it's more dependable, more comfortable but it has 110 inch motor, six speed transmission, belt drive so it's very dependable and it's a cool ride. >> this is the kind of bike you just sit back and relax on. >> yes. >> how fast can it go? >> sit back and relax? >> it's like this, like a cruise on it. >> it really is comfortable but 120, 130 miles an hour. >> can i fire it up? >> sure, you could. >> awesome. >> you know how to do it in. >> yes. i rode one the other day. >> woohoo! looking good. >> oh, i got to turn the key on.
